Mallotus philippensis, commonly known as Kamala, Red Kamala, or Monkey Face Tree, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae. Mallotus philippensis is native to various countries in South and Southeast Asia, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It typically grows in tropical and subtropical regions.They are believed to have anthelmintic (anti-parasitic), laxative, and purgative properties. Kamala is often used in the treatment of intestinal parasites and constipation.
